Norfolk
Over the past few years there has been lots of talk about new businesses opening in South Norfolk and how we are experiencing a boom time. As a Norfolk business owner, business consultant and web designer (many hats) I can defiantly see an upturn in business locally. Some of the tradesmen in the Diss BNI say stuff like, “well if this is recession, bring it on” and “I’m struggling to keep up”. Ulric Web Design has never been so busy and I can echo those comments, when new businesses start up the first thing they think about is a website and may rush out and spend a thousand or two on a lovely website. Strangely my advice is don’t, not don’t have a website, but spend very little on the first site you have, keep it simple, make it about yours service, location and how you love what you do. The reason being you will change your mind about what you need over the first year or so and this can mean spending more money that may be hard to come by in the early years of business. You can also use Facebook and Twitter etc to promote your business and this can be a great way to start. If you need any help in deciding which way to go we are happy to have a chat and point you in the right direction.
